Some projects are planned… and some just happen. This is one of those. You pick up your hook thinking you’ll make something quick, and a few rounds later there’s a tiny cat staring back at you like it’s been there all along.
I’ve always loved making things that don’t take themselves too seriously. A little cat with a slightly crooked smile, tiny whiskers, and just enough attitude to feel alive. The kind of piece that makes you pause for a second and think… okay, this is ridiculously cute.
And honestly, that’s the magic of these little projects. They’re quick, they’re simple, but they carry so much charm. Stitch by stitch, you build this tiny face, add a few embroidered details, and suddenly it has a whole personality. Sleepy, grumpy, happy… or just quietly judging you from your desk.
Because this isn’t just a keychain. It’s a tiny moment of joy. Something you can gift, keep, or accidentally make ten of while saying “just one more.”
And if a little crochet cat can do that? I think that’s more than enough reason to pick up your hook.
