Unicorns are magical creatures and have existed in mythology for centuries. As depicted in many different cultures, a unicorn has the body of a horse and a single, spiraling horn that grows out its forehead. It is a common belief that unicorns possess magical and healing powers. And, according to the legend, unicorns are “spirits of guidance”, whose purpose is to remove darkness and evil from the world. Pretty cool, huh?
In the past, unicorns were usually drawn using white, while in modern days, unicorns are bright and colorful, they may have rainbow manes and golden horns and hooves. Every little girl’s dream is to own a unicorn at some point in her life, and since I never got one, I decided I was going to make it myself. Plus, it’s a great excuse to use bright and colorful yarn.
